Good news for Agave Spirit fans – Rocco Torro distillery is now open in Graaff-Reinet.
Following the construction of a modern distillery with top-notch equipment, and high standards, visitors to the Karoo can now enjoy authentic Karoo agave spirit right in Graaff-Reinet, the Gem of the Karoo. Using locally grown plants, the whole process takes place here, from start to finish. The distillery boasts a tasting room, and tastings and tours can be organised.
Did you know, Tequila can only be made in Mexico. Elsewhere in the world, it has to be called Agave Spirit, as Tequila is a uniquely Mexican brand and concept.
